If you are passionate about photography or you make a living out of it, your hard disk is probably filled with various photos, taken over time. You may wish to show these pictures to your friends and family. For this, you could use the slide show feature included in the Windows image viewer but this lacks a lot of features and may seem boring after some time. Besides that, the transition effects are extremely limited. Another solution would be using Quick Slide Show. As the name states, the program can quickly and easily create superb photo slide shows using various settings and can even save them as Flash or EXE files, for sending them through email to anyone.

The program installs in a flash, takes up about 10 MB of hard disk space and can run on most versions of the Windows operating system without problems.

The interface of Quick Slide Show is well organized, in spite of the fact that it contains a lot of features. The left part of the interface includes a lot of sections for customizing the slide show. Thus, the size of images displayed can be chosen, text can be added to slides and even sound.

After the user is done setting the slide show options, he can save it as a Flash SWF file or EXE, to be able to run even if Adobe Flash Player is not installed. Screensavers can also be created with the help of Quick Slide Show. The slideshow can be previewed prior to saving it, allowing the user to make sure that everything was correctly configured. Slide shows can also be saved as a project file that can be customized later on.

Pros:
It features a lot of options for creating slide shows. Furthermore, slide shows can be saved as SWF, EXE or SCR files, for playing them using Flash or for setting up as a screensaver. Besides that, the slide show project can be saved as a file, allowing the user to customize it later on. Last but not least, images can be added one by one into the program or by selecting the folder that contains them.

Cons:
The large number of options for configuring the slide show may be confusing for a first time user.
